You Are

Responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost-effective way. Work directly with Pitney Bowes’s distribution (center) teams providing logistics and transportation support to ensure timely delivery to Pitney Bowes’s end-customers.

You Will

  • Plan, manageandevaluatelogisticsoperationsliaisingwith internal stakeholders, suppliers,logistics providers, transportationcompaniesand customers

  • Createandimplementbestpracticelogistics/transportationprinciples,policies,and processes acrosstheorganization to improveoperational and financial performance

  • Deliver solutions to logistics problems

  • Contributetothecreationandimplementationof best logistic practices, processes, andproceduresto aid andimproveoperationalperformance

  • Monitorquality,quantity, and delivery times

  • Recommendoptimaltransportmodes,routes, or frequency

  • Monitor carrier/supplier serviceagainstperformancecriteria

  • Ensure carriercompliancewithcompanypoliciesorproceduresfor product transit or delivery

  • Resolveproblemsconcerningtransportation,logisticssystems,importsor exports or customer issues

  • Review impact oflogisticschanges,such as routing,shippingmodes, product volumes or carriers and reportresults to others

  • Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities or plants and adviseofcostimplications and efficiency

  • Supportcontinuousimprovementinitiatives, identify inefficiencies, and cost optimizationopportunities

  • Identifysavings by removingwaste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process

  • Interpret trendsandanalyze and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data toothers in theorganizationto aid customer service and cost improvements

  • Ensure metrics,reports,andprocessdocumentation is available

  • Report onachievementoftargetsandidentify any actions required

  • Developandmaintain strong relationshipswithallconnectedwiththelogistics process

  • Support new businessinitiativesandprojectsandcontribute to reviewmeetingsandchange process.

Your Background

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the associated job duties and essential functions.

  • BS/BA degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in supply chain is a plus.

  • Experience with a private company or large business unit, preferably with complex transportation, fleet ops and logistics footprint.

  • Experience in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and basic data analytics

  • Experience with a WMS, TMS and broad knowledge of transit tracking systems.

  • Highly skilled communicatorwith the ability to form and maintaingoodrelationshipsinternally and externally

  • Strong interpersonal,negotiationandinfluencingskills

  • Client-driven

  • Provenanalytical,problemsolving and organizationalskills
