This role as the Manager of Communications , is part of our talented communications team that supports a global business. Their efforts will focus on delivering external and internal communications working with partners across the Company.
As a Manager of Communications you will report directly to the Vice President of Employee and Internal Communications and be located in Stamford, CT.
Work directly with the global business leadership as well as a cross-functional management team who interfaces with this business unit on delivering communications/messages.
Support and possibly lead communications projects for internal and external audiences.
Develop communications for use on a global basis and ensure the business teams are equipped with the necessary messages and materials to help deliver business goals. The work involves working with peers across the business and communications to deliver targeted message about the Company and the business.
Focus on promoting business news, products, people and extending thought leadership through a series of channels. For example (but not limited to) internal announcements, programs, and possible external messages to create interest and awareness for the Innovation group.
Work with external media team as well as the communications owners to build-out the Pitney Bowes story, recognition of leaders and programs. This may include campaigns, surveys, presentations and internal/external events.
Develop, write, and post on company’s intranet stories about the innovation team.
Develop, write, and post on external sites as well as social media support.
Maintain external/internal communications calendar for this business.
Support social/external media channels to reach out to media, employees and thought leaders regarding business unit/leadership team.
Promote team successes through appropriate channels.
Develop and maintain relationships with the appropriate analyst community, by segment
As a Manager of Communications, you have:
Bachelor’s degree required; (MBA Preferred)
5-8 years progressive marketing & communications experience with 3-5 years specific to communications.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix environment partnering across functions and geographies is essential to success in this position.
Must have excellent writing and presentation skills.
