A passionate I.T. Manager you are responsible for the overall coordination and management of a global team providing Business Analysis, Project Management, and SME expertise. The systems you will support include Postage by Phone, Tier 3, and DLA. You are to coordinate project and enhancement activities while acting as a liaison between IT, PB business units and technology suppliers. You will drive teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. As an I.T. Manager of Postage by Phone, you will track key deliverable milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers and technology suppliers. You are to lead multiple teams of internal and external resources. You are an individual who instills open communication with all areas of the enterprise that affect the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the managed work effort. You must demonstrate mastery of Pitney Bowes’ business processes. As a member of the IT management team you will participate in the identification and prioritization of opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise. You possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.
This position will sit fulltime in Shelton, CT.
Provide high-level support for Postage by Phone applications.
Provide team leadership for a global team of BA/PM/SME.
Provide leadership across teams of internal employees and external suppliers
Identify and prioritize product related initiatives.
Translate business needs into high-level requirements and functional requirements that can be understood by technical resources.
Effectively prepares for, participates in, and follows-up on business meetings and captures key and/or critical meeting minutes and action items.
Responsible for Service Level Agreement (SLA) accountability and vendor management.
Support all aspects of product lifecycle including outage management, system monitoring, product strategy, infrastructure planning, and DR testing.
Performs managerial Human Resource (HR) functions.
As a I.T. Manager you have:
Possess 7-10 years of relevant work experience as a I.T. leader.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems or related field preferred.
Must have experience in managing teams across Enterprise environment.
Must have knowledge of Postage by Phone and postage meter processes.
Must have hands-on experience in managing budgets.
Must be able to display the necessary skills to operate in a critical, fact-based thinking environment.
Must be able to display fact based critical analysis skills.
Must have participated in a full project lifecycle.
Possess the leadership behaviors and acts with managerial courage to motivate and influence team and others.
Project management experience managing individual projects; development of plans, the tracking and resolution of issues and the issuing of regular status reports.
Attend various Team Development courses.
Experience documenting technical complex ideas.
Have proven vendor management experience in an outsourced environment.
Must have experience managing teams.
Hold others accountable for results and removes obstacles to provide a path to success and contributes needed resources on a timely basis.
Be able to simultaneously handle several projects efficiently, despite challenging resource and time constraints. Can achieve project objectives in a timely, cost-effective manner with highest quality delivery.
