Job Description:

The Electrical System Engineering department is responsible for the design, development, and support of electronics for products sold worldwide for Pitney Bowes Sending Technology Solutions.

Typical system designs fall into the Embedded Control category and include circuitry such as motor drivers, analog and digital sensor interfaces, and microprocessor systems. Co-ops working within our environment will have opportunities to participate in a large range of electrical engineering tasks that are required to successfully navigate the product development and support process.

Activities may include the design, building, and testing of circuits and/or system components to be used in product designs or test fixtures in support of both Engineering development activities as well as Engineering support of Product Manufacturing. Work may also include some FPGA design, high-level and/or assembly code development, assembly support for Cabling & PCB’s engineering builds and/or modifications. Other activities may include the research of new technologies in the areas of motion control and communications (USB, wireless, etc). This position gives co-ops opportunities to learn practical engineering skills such as board and system debugging, wiring harness construction, soldering, PC board CAD design, and product documentation. The work our co-ops do directly affects the products either in development or being delivered to our customers.

The wage range for this position is $18/hour to $22/hour, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.
