Detail oriented, very organized and can handle large amounts of data. You are a good communicator who is able to independently and collect the information needed to support Duty Drawback claims.
Accurately compile documentation to support Duty Drawback claims to Canada and UK Customs
Support of onboarding clients to PB’s US Duty Drawback Program
Maintain exceptional record-keeping of all claims made (e.g. submission date, amount requested etc.)
Understand systems and troubleshooting orders that do not fit standard qualification criteria
Provide timely feedback on CBSA/HMRC related inquiries (e.g. 801 verification requests)
Have internal and external communication to collect documentation needed to support Drawback claims
Do internal reporting of refunds requested and refunds received
Keep abreast of drawback procedural changes (i.e. US, UK, CA regulations)
Communicate with customs broker/agents in various international locations
Candidate will need to travel to NYC weekly for first 3 months and on occasion thereafter (approx. 2 times per month)
As a Duty Drawback Specialist you:
Are detail oriented with the ability to organize and handle large amounts of data (including spreadsheet data as well as documentation)
Minimum 2 year experience in Import/Export Operations, Trade Compliance.
Have advanced excel knowledge (e.g. ability to run pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis etc.)
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Are able to work independently to meet deadlines
Licensed Customs Broker
Familiar with CBSA and HMRC
Prior Duty Drawback and project management experience
