A polished Application Support Engineer who can put their technical and support skill sets to work by helping to creating a best-in-class production support organization. You are a performance driven individual who can handle face-paced, high pressure and Merchants/ Clients/ Customer Calls and work as part of a team to identify issues, provide quick fixes, work with engineering teams to deploy those fixes and, ultimately, plan and implement and create a best-in-class Production Support organization.
Resolving issues and driving them to completion using an automated ticketing system and managing the support ticketing system.
Conveying root cause analysis, parsing logs, and escalating bugs to R&D team.
Supporting existing clients in adoption of new features.
Coordinating internal development work with developers, project managers, client managers and other internal customers.
Lead communications/expectations to merchants at all levels.
Participate in problem escalation and issue prevention projects.
Create and fine tune integration of health monitors.
Building and automating tools to identify integration issues proactively.
Be part of weekend production support shifts.
As an Application Support Engineer, you have:
Three (3) years (post-degree, progressive) experience in the job offered including 3 years of experience in each of the following skills;
Production Support roles.
Should be familiar with the Order Capture, Order Management and Order Fulfillment operations.
Oracle, MongoDB, Couch-base databases: troubleshooting, performance tuning, reviewing, and editing PL-SQL (Oracle).
Use of XML, XML parsers, XSL, JSON
Use of UNIX, Shell scripts, PHP, Python, Perl
Nice to have experience with Linux Red Hat, C++, Java and XML, MQ and JMS compliant queues
3+ years of production/application support experience desired.
Bachelors (or educ. equiv.) Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or Related Field.
