Job Description:

The Risk Decisioning and Analytics Manager at Pitney Bowes will lead quantitative risk analytics activity for the small/medium ticket commercial portfolio with direct resource management duties. The individual will be expected to manage all daily activities related to the data supply chain/warehousing/governance, analytics lifecycle, decision technology and monitoring/reporting to support data-driven decision-making. The Risk Decisioning and Analytics Manager will be expected to manage enabling analytics and technology for new account originations/decisioning as well as portfolio management, monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), report on all analysis and present recommendations to senior executives across the enterprise. The role will be the main liaison with 3rd party risk decisioning modeling providers as well as consultants focused on accelerating the risk decisioning implementation.

The Risk Decisioning and Analytics Manager will also evaluate profit and loss drivers, analyze credit strategy performance and test/implement tools and systems to enhance the company’s future and increase profitability. This role will work cross functionally with departments such as Risk, Collections, Fraud, Operations and Finance to meet the objectives, and will be expected to drive broad analytical competency across Pitney Bowes through training and seminars. Apart from internal cross-functional collaboration and analytics leadership, the Business/Data Analytics Leader will also be expected to spearhead engagements with commercial Credit Risk Decisioning and Analytics Manager Bureaus (e.g., PayNet, etc.), and represent Pitney Bowes externally as a subject matter expert in commercial credit scoring and decision rule processes.

Requirements for Risk Decisioning and Analytics Manager role include:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Data Science, Business Analytics, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Engineering, Econometrics, etc.)

  • Strong Data Science/Business Analytics experience in a financial services environment; knowledge of analytics, reporting, and credit analytics techniques

  • Excellent knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Tableau, Spotfire, SQL, SAS, R, Python or similar reporting and analytics tools

  • Five (5) or more years of commercial lending experience highly preferred

  • Must have two (2) or more years' experience managing a team of direct reports

  • Strong familiarity interpreting and analyzing credit bureau data for commercial credit scoring (FICO, D&B, Experian, PayNet, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
