Job Description:

You are:

An Enthusiastic Leader who can leverage client insights, industry knowledge, and practical know-how to all activities involved in export/import regulatory compliance including, but not limited to, import (customs clearance, audits, classification, valuation) and export (screening resolution, HTS and ECCN determination) to help support and back up Global Ecommerce business. You are a Loyal individual who will move the needle within Pitney Bowes and across the market segments we serve.

You will:

  • Lead global team of 20+ to support worldwide Logistics customs and compliance

  • Lead and manage relationships with 3PL's and carriers. Build strategic partnership with Stakeholders both internal and external working with local Customs authorities

  • Have responsibility for the strategic design and operational execution of trade compliance solutions across more than 190 countries and territories, and for creating and managing a comprehensive import and export compliance, duty drawback and classification program

Your background:

As a Director Global Trade compliance, you have:

  • US Broker License, with experience in export/import compliance and custom-related operations

  • 10+ overall years experience in compliance management with 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing compliance activities in a multi-national company

  • eCommerce industry experience

  • Exceptional oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Understanding of the laws and regulations which govern imports and exports, their importance, and their value to the organization.

  • Basic understanding of international trade regulations, tariff classifications, export control classifications, imports - exports violations implications, understanding of the rules of export control, customs authorities, and export laws.

  • HazMat Rules / Laws awareness

  • Ability to apply government regulatory requirements in complex scenarios

  • Skilled at developing and leading high-performance teams

  • Global mindset with proven ability to partner cross culturally
