Job Description:

The Globalization team works cross-functionally with internal teams at Pitney Bowes to help them localize their user-facing and employee facing content. This team uses a self-service model for translation requests. The Globalization Program Manager will work directly with stakeholders, ensuring that localization requirements are understood, workflows are implemented correctly, and that high-quality localized content is delivered on time and on budget. You will work with the Globalization Lead to determine Globalization strategies which will provide an excellent experience for our stake holders.

You Will

  • Continuously evangelize and educate internal customers and stake holders on Globalization best practices.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders regularly to understand Globalization challenges and find opportunities for process improvements.

  • Contribute to the long-term strategy and planning for the Globalization team.

  • Present strategy and progress to C-level executives and participate in strategy reviews with internal sponsors.

  • Research and incorporate Machine Translation (MT) and terminology best practices into our localization and translation strategy.

  • Supportthe end-to-end process for self-service localization requests from internal stakeholders, working with them to supportglobalization best practices, training, understanding delivery timelines, and supporting communicationswith our vendors

  • Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure Pitney Bowestranslated contentprovides a great client/employee experience in all languages

  • Seek opportunities for external visibility, such as speaking engagements, LinkedIn, workshops, industry events, etc.

  • Generate monthly reports to measure success of globalization processes.

  • Continuously work to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of globalization processes

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has

  • 2-3 years of localization project management experience, preferably on the client side

  • Fluent in English and at least one additional language

  • Experience with web and software localization, and CAT/TMS tools

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and analytical skills and the flexibility to work across time zones within a diverse, geographically distributed, multicultural environment

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Flexibility to respond to constantly changing requirements in a dynamic work environment

  • Excellent listening and presentation skills

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with software localization project management.

  • Understanding of localization best practices and familiarity with common internationalization missteps.

  • Passion for developing processes, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

  • Experience with machine translation processes

  • Experience with CAT tools (Memsource preferably).

  • Empathy and professionalism

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of custom machine translation engine data preparation and training

  • Knowledge of glossary creation and terminology management
