Field Services Engineer | UK North/Northwest, Remote ( Cumbria to Bradford territory) | Flexible working hours with some evening and weekend working required on occasion | £24-26K base p/a with uncapped commission averaging £2,400 p/a and the choice of company car or car allowance (£4,750 p/a).
Role Impact
As a Field Services Engineer you provide best in class field service support. This can be either for defined PB product lines and/or 3rd Party Clients along with delivering a combination of proactive and reactive client service requests and post-sales support, in order to maximise client satisfaction and corporate financial performance.
As a Field Services Engineer, you will;
Proactively own the workload, working in collaboration with colleagues to resolve client issues in the most efficient way.
Build and maintain working relationships with client base.
Ensure real time management of data via iPad to ensure robust and accurate system reporting.
Effectively and professionally communicate with internal and external clients, produce field reports when/if required and contribute to the management reporting of the service department.
Provide feedback data and information to the Technical Support function.
Attend and obtain a minimum pass in training for new products launched or introduced as demand requires.
Attend and contribute to regular monthly engineer and management meetings.
Maintain high level of problem resolution and daily visit rate.
Be responsible for accurate levels of vehicle stock control, balance client value with inventory and cost reduction.
Ensure compliance with processes and guidance issued by PB, Service and or Technical Services Group.
Respond to management directives in a timely manner
Deliver service excellence and contribute to client satisfaction measures.
Take ownership of problems/issues through to resolution
Deliver against individual and team financial targets
Establish and build collaborative relationship with area account manager, to leverage territory growth and contribute towards National Sales Target’s
Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by the company
As a successful Field Services Engineer, you;
Are able to demonstrate, experience within an engineering / electrical / mechanical role or have the ability to learn.
Are familiar with production mailing experience advantageous.
Are able to demonstrate an understanding in networking technologies and protocols.
Have a proven track record of client service and satisfaction excellence.
Can demonstrate excellent communication skills and can interact with individuals at all business levels.
Can demonstrate good problem solving and root cause analysis.
Have strong planning, analytical and organising skills.
Have a proven track record of exceptional technical skills / experience and have the ability to innovate solutions.
Are reliable and self-motivated, must be able to take ownership of issues and see through to resolution.
Have good business English, spoken and written.
Have good knowledge of MS Office applications.
Can accommodate a flexible working pattern, including weekends, and standby periods.
Are able to travel outside of own region for training purposes.
Have capacity to travel to other parts of the country to support clients and colleagues where necessary.
