Pitney Bowes Industrial Maintenance Technician, 3rd Shift (Greater Philadelphia Area) in Reading, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Pitney Bowes is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift in the Greater Philadelphia area at our * Reading, Pennsylvania Facility.*

Your schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday from 10:15PM - 6:45AM.

Your weekly base pay range will be $26 - $32 per hour. Your 3rd shift differential will be an additional $2.50 per hour.

You will:

  • Perform mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment including printer and mail sorting equipment.

  • Complete preventative maintenance according to Mail Preparation Total Quality Management and vendor operating standards.

  • Respond to equipment break down or emergency situations with urgency and expediency.

  • Utilize inventory, pm schedule and work order systems, and maintains the spare parts/supply inventory.

  • Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.

  • Perform all additional duties as required

Your background as an Industrial Maintenance Technician , you have:

  • 3-5 years direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.

  • 3-5 years strong familiarity servicing mailing equipment, conveyer machines, PLC systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, pulleys or any other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment preferred.

  • An AA degree in Electronics, Computer Science or related field of study is preferred.

  • Experience using a multi-meter or any other type of electronic testing equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals and parts diagram preferred.

  • Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.

  • The ability to lift 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.
