You are:

An experienced Carrier Manager who will drive optimum business performance and the right decisions through data analytics. This position is part of the dynamic Network Operations team and reports into the Global Carrier Operations Manager. The ideal candidate works well under pressure, prioritizes and executes projects efficiently, and demonstrates exceptional communications skills. Position works primarily from the New York City office and may require some travel.

You will:

  • Schedule, execute and oversee domestic andcross-border freight moves to exceed performance and cost expectations

  • Coordinate new initiatives such as setting upnew freight carriers, first mile lanes and route optimization projects withstakeholders including Network Development, Procurement, Hub Management,Product and Engineering.

  • Publish, maintain and enforce KPIs, StandardOperating Procedures, Standard Work Instructions to ensure compliance whileexploring continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Create regular volume forecasts in conjunctionwith clients to manage capacity planning with both transportation and fulfillmentpartners.

  • Establish, develop, implement and deliveragainst an aggressive freight budgets based on advanced analytics of logisticsnetwork

  • And other assignments as directed.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business/Logistics/SupplyChain preferred but not required)

  • 5 to 10 years Logistics/Supply Chain Managementexperience specializing in transportation, distribution and/or freightmanagement

  • Excellent communication, writing andpresentation skills

  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word/Excel/Powerpoint)and integrated software applications

  • Demonstrated ability to perform financialanalysis with superior organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Experience in e-commerce industry preferred butnot required

  • Manage themselves with a high level ofintegrity, respect and exemplify PBI core values and beliefs
