Job Description:

The Job

• Works with various TechOps groups under your hierarchy to successfully identify, prioritize, and resolve issues and provide subject matter expertise for enhancements, developments, and operational improvements

• Manages the development, execution, and delivery of critical projects in area of Monitoring, Production Support & Operations, DevOps, and Security

• Communicates effectively on risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives

• Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, ensuring that application development and deployment is done in the best possible way, and implements quality control and review systems throughout the development and deployment processes

• Displays technical leadership and oversight of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, ongoing data validation processes, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions

• Maintains issue tracking and documentation systems and provides reporting that ensures proper tracking and visibility of issues and projects

• Maintains accurate program estimates, timelines, project plans, and status reports

• Responsible for implementing processes that enable rapid development by leveraging existing automation tools in the enterprise

• Communicates effectively on risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives

• Find ways to optimize, use technology to automate monitoring

• Building and grooming SME’s within the team to ensure that team works in SRE mindset

• Identify training needs for team to upskill to support portfolio

• Demonstrate Ownership and accountability

• Demonstrate leadership and drive the team to achieve goals

Qualifications & Skills required

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science

• 15+ Years of Industry Experience with gradually increasing responsibilities and a demonstrated understanding of Operations and Delivery

• Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and presentation skills

• Possesses expert technical understanding of the intersection of development and operations, monitoring and management tools, and deployment processes and tools

• Experience of SaaS based product support

• Experience in infrastructure, security, and compliance

• Possesses high level understanding in the areas of APIs, Databases, Systems Architecture and Design

• Strong experience with AWS and Devops, and experience in cloud and network administration

• Hands-on infrastructure as code experience (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Experience in scripting languages (shell scripts OR Perl OR Python)

• Experience with Splunk, SumoLogic, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana and/or monitoring/logging solutions (Any of these)

• Experience working with quality management approaches, techniques, and principles

• Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices

• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills, and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships

• Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at a team level

• Experience of leading teams that operate in 24*7 environment
