Job Description:

Join Pitney Bowes as a Facilities Supervisor in Orlando, Florida. You will become an integral part of our operations, supporting both your career development and our business growth.

Location: Orlando, Florida with responsibilities at the Jacksonville, Florida site.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (Travel required)

Annual Base Salary Range: $66,500 - $75,000 annually, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.

Pitney Bowes is seeking a dedicated and proactive Facilities Supervisor to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This role also includes responsibilities at our Jacksonville, Florida site, requiring travel between locations. As a Facilities Supervisor, you are an individual contributor that will play a crucial role in managing our safety and security programs, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, and maintaining the grounds and plant facilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Management: Develop and implement security processes and procedures to meet Pitney Bowes Presort contractual obligations. Stay updated on changes and communicate them to EHS/security teams and relevant management.

  • EHS Compliance: Evaluate and maintain established EHS and security guidelines. Ensure staff is properly trained in these processes and procedures.

  • Safety Oversight: Manage the safety and security department’s activities, including training, monitoring, and leading/executing tasks as an individual contributor.

  • Confidentiality: Ensure EHS and security-related information is shared on a need-to-know basis.

  • Incident Investigation: Investigate EHS and security irregularities, involving management and Human Resources as appropriate. Ensure proper reporting and documentation.

  • Law Enforcement Liaison: Establish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of facility-related EHS and OSHA regulations to ensure compliance.

  • Contractor Management: Manage contractor relationships and monitor facility-related outside contractors while onsite. Stay informed about industry trends to aid in contract negotiations.

  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the facility.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Availability: Ability to work the assigned schedule, with on-call availability 24/7 and occasional weekends.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a production or warehouse environment. Supervisory experience in presort, mailroom, or related industries preferred but not required.

  • Contractor Management: Previous experience managing contractors, understanding contracts, negotiations, and handling PO’s/invoices.

  • Security Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of security systems and investigative techniques.

  • Maintenance Skills: Proficiency in maintenance trade skills.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with facility-related OSHA regulations.

  • Technical Skills: Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Communication: Well-developed oral and written communication skills. Ability to speak and understand English at an intermediate level. Spanish language skills preferred but not mandatory.

  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, days off, and/or different shifts with limited or no advance notice based on operational needs.

For completing this work, Presort Services receives discounted postage rates. By performing this sorting work on behalf of our clients, we are able to share a portion of that discount with them. We provide mailers with end-to-end solutions from pick-up at their location into delivery into the postal system network, providing optimal postage savings.
