Job Description:

You are:

You are a critical thinker who is highly efficient, while maintaining accuracy and attention to details.

As a Senior Analyst, Consolidation and Reporting at Pitney Bowes, you’ll join the Corporate Accounting team and report to the US Consolidations Manager.

You will:

  • Support the Company’s monthly and quarterly consolidation and close process.

  • Perform Income Statement and Balance Sheet Analysis and prepare numerous supporting schedules for inclusion in the Company’s comprehensive Management Report.

  • Perform analytical review of business unit data and consolidated results, to identify unusual inputs, and unexpected financial statement variances as compared to prior periods and forecasts.

  • Manage cashflow movements, all associated roll forward schedules, and the preparation of the consolidated cashflow and free cash flow statements.

  • Be responsible for the accounting for stock-based compensation.

  • Have a basic understanding of foreign currency exchange rate changes and their impacts on financial statements and transactions.

  • Be proficient or have knowledge of elimination and intercompany accounting to facilitate ownership of intercompany duties and responsibilities.

  • Support the Company’s external financial reporting process.

  • Review quarterly earnings release and other Investor Relations documents in connection with quarterly earnings announcements.

  • Prepare and provide requested information to external auditors in connection with their quarterly reviews and annual audit and respond directly to follow-up questions.

  • Have functional capabilities in the use of Hyperion (HFM and Essbase), as well as SAP.

  • Assist with special projects as necessary.

Your background:

As a Senior Consolidation and Reporting Analyst, you have:

  • 2 - 4 years of combined accounting and consolidation experience in public accounting and/or private industry with a global presence.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA a plus.

  • Experience using Hyperion (HFM), or similar consolidation system.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Knowledge of financial reporting; cash flow experience preferred.

  • Solid general ledger experience required.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify, understand and document anomalies and variances in financial results.

  • Demonstrated ability to take on advanced and challenging assignments and responsibilities.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and is highly organized, with attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently, as well as be a contributing member of a team
