Job Description:

Summary of Position

This position is responsible for developing and implementing global / regional sourcing strategies across multiple indirect spend categories, identifying cost savings opportunities, driving change and implementing industry best practices to support a best-in-class Enterprise Procurement function.

Key Accountabilities

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Ability to align with stakeholder objectives to develop and execute a category strategy.

  • Develop intimate knowledge of key stakeholder business needs to create such strategies along with best-in-class sourcing and partnership practices.

  • Deliver cost savings, risk mitigation, process improvement, and cost avoidance projects.

  • Manage complex procurement situations with aggressive goals and often short notice.

  • Support supplier relationships and interface with business unit’s leaders for resolution as needed.

  • Maintain active compliance with EHS, Legal, Quality, Supply Chain and Contract rules, SAP, etc.

  • Work alongside global procurement professionals to manage the deployment of various spend category strategies that aligns with corporate and business unit objectives, risk tolerances, and growth strategies.

  • Analyze current state situation, supply market data, and spend data from various enterprise systems, determine ROI of contracted third party services, make strategic sourcing recommendations and initiate spend-optimization projects with business partners to drive innovation and change.

  • Effectively communicate with all levels of business unit stakeholders ensuring ongoing communications on project/initiative status, and yearly budget savings objectives.

  • Support negotiation, review, and management of supplier contracts ensuring optimal level of costs, services, and risk management/reduction, are achieved, and maintained.

  • Manage multiple RFI/RFP/RFQ projects throughout the year.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in indirect procurement/strategic sourcing/contracting/sub-contracting/supply chain, preferably in a global organization, with a clear record of success and achievement dealing with complex supply chain/procurement issues.

  • In-depth knowledge of procurement/sourcing principles and processes and ability to conduct detailed financial analyses.

  • Experience negotiating world-class terms and conditions for supplier agreements. Demonstrate understanding of contract management process, terms and conditions, and corporate policies.

  • Experience in managing internal stakeholders and a record of success in supply chain transformation and change management.

  • Must be a highly effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with ability to work with C-level and senior management with professionalism and discretion.

  • Must be a team player, with courage of conviction. Must be able to partner effectively with the key leadership across the company.

  • Must operate independently and be able to drive a project to success with little oversight.

  • Must be a high energy, hard worker, with outstanding business and personal ethics.

  • Must be able to work productively and respectfully with other cultures in a global environment

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or related field is preferred.

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (“CPSM”) is preferred
