Job Description:

This position is a 10 week internship program that will start June 5th through August 11th. This will be a remote opportunity. The wage range for this position is $20 to $24 with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experiences.

Job Description

Pitney Bowes provides transportation delivery services for some of the largest ecommerce shippers in the world. As a Cross Border Operations Intern you will work with a team of Logistics Managers responsible for the day-to-day operations associated with the delivery of eCommerce parcels. You will work directly with Pitney Bowes’s distribution centers, final mile delivery agents and partners to support the logistics and transportation to insure timely delivery to Pitney Bowes’s end-customers. As an intern you will be asked to evaluate best practices, processes, and procedures and make recommendations focused on improving operational performance.

Your Internship with Pitney Bowes will help you gain cross-functional working experience by collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Product Management, and third-party suppliers/partners.

You Will

  • Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others

  • Data Management and Analysis to support critical business requirements and regulations

  • Support business process improvement initiatives

  • Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency

  • Interpret trends and analyze and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements

Your Background

  • Rising Junior or Senior majoring in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Organizational Management

  • Experience in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentations

  • Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Desire to work on a team and support the business
