Pitney Bowes Warehouse Problem Solver - 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am) $21.25 per hour (Includes Peak Incentive) in Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Job Description:

Pitney Bowes is now hiring for Full Time Direct Hire Problem Solver positions in our Elk Grove Village Facility. $21.25 per hour

Hourly base rate: $19.00 per hour

Shift differential: An additional $1.25 per hour for working 2nd Shift

Peak Pay: Effective from 11/19/22 to 12/23/22, you will receive an additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked!!

You Are:

An individual who enjoys fast paced, physical production environment while developing new skills in the mailing industry. You are a hard-working and vital contributor to our company’s success in meeting productivity standards and customer satisfaction ratings.

You will:

  • Handle escalated parcels that cannot be seamlessly processed through to completion

  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of item and system restrictions to:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to enable parcels to Ship Forward

  • Efficiently push unresolvable issues to Exceptions Team for handling

  • Offer additional training, coaching, and aided troubleshooting to promote associate success

  • Surface new restrictions and use cases to management to ensure system behavior is operating as expected

  • Ensure that problem / error carts are worked in a timely manner

  • Maintain low backlog inAdvSearch

  • Stock workstations to enable associates to work seamlessly

  • Aid in initial and ongoing training of parcel processors

  • Help correct problem parcels and coach associates to avoid recurrence of error

  • Aid associates in understanding traveler documents and ensuring they select proper reason codes

  • Consistently act as a role model to others: great attendance; no problematic or escalated issues; positive, collaborative attitude

Your background:

As a Problem Solver,  you have:       

  • A basic enough understanding of English to be able to understand and follow safety and other operational directions communicated in English, irrespective of their native language.

  • The ability to work overtime which may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice.

  • Excellent proficiency using the internet, web browsers and data entry tasks.

  • Extensive knowledge of multiple areas within our operations including an understanding of end-to-end process.

  • A highly detail-oriented and meticulous nature.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven highly successful at a warehouse associate level.

  • The ability to thrive with minimal supervision.

  • The ability to coach associates constructively with a focus on their success while avoiding criticism and acting as an encourager.
