You are:

A dynamic individual who can manage multiple areas of EHS, support corporate wide initiatives and ensure compliance to US laws and PB EHS Management systems. You will influence and collaborate with leaders from all parts of the organization. You are a great communicator who can analyze data and develop tools and communications to support our mission of risk and injury prevention.

You will

  • This role provides tactical and strategic level support to all PB operations and lead the team of EHS Regional Managers. The scope includes support with Accident Investigation, OSHA recordkeeping, risk assessment, training development and basic environmental program management and reporting.

  • Partner extensively with both other members of the EHS team, corporate staff and operational leaders on business wide initiatives.

  • Have the ability identify develop EHS improvement projects to drive down injuries, costs and implement projects related to PB Sustainability programs.

  • Perform compliance reviews to support the corporation in identifying and controlling risk. Coach, mentor, and train facility level personnel.

  • You will spend time both based either in a site, or working from home, and traveling to the various sites in his/her region.

  • Partner with PB site leaders to continuously improve the safety culture, awareness, and accountability in support of EHS programs

  • Lead our team of four Safety and Health professionals



Your background:

As a Sr Manager Health and Safety Manager you have:

  • Ability to analyze EHS data, conduct risk assessments, and to develop and present process improvement ideas to Senior Leaders.

  • A BS in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field

  • Minimum 10+ years of leadership/managerial experience within the Environmental Health and Safety function including the auditing of premises and dealing with government inspectors required

  • Certified safety Professional (CSP) certification strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office software

  • The ability to handle multiple projects and effectively manage priorities

  • The ability to travel domestically up to 30%

  • Communicating effectively in written and oral forms with peers and others at varying levels within the organization. Presenting ideas well one on one, in small groups, and to larger audiences. Having the ability to convey the meaning and importance of EHS topics to non-EHS personnel, and to influence others to take appropriate action based on such information.


  • CSP Certification

  • Masters level degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
