Job Description:

You are:

A Relationship-Oriented Individual who will provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level subject matter expert working within the sales environment, supporting and driving Pitney Bowes market leading carrier solutions portfolio. You are collaborative and will work with the sales team within an established geography acting as the “quarterback” to generate new business and ensure growth of existing accounts by providing full sales cycle support: assist with channel management, account planning and development, determine client needs, provide pre-sales technical support, architect and demonstrate the solution, assist in proposal creation, and provide support in closing the opportunity.

You will:

  • Assist and support the sales team through coaching, product training, demonstrations, and account management while managing pipeline, forecasting and lease portfolio retention ensuring attainment of sales targets within region.

  • Assess potential application of company products or services applying best practices to solve customer supply chain challenges aiding in the design of customer focused workflows and deliverables working with the professional services team to identify, develop and document project scope using the company’s standard product and services portfolio to create a suitable solution.

  • Research and present ROI and carrier analysis showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products or services.

  • Assist in proposal review and coordinate RFP responses. Write technical correspondence to customers and internal staff and where necessary work closely with internal product and engineering teams to define acceptable solutions.

  • Validate appropriate order documentation initiated by sales prior to submission to the order desk and upon receiving an order participate in a kick-off meeting with install team to ensure they are equipped to manage and deliver the solution.

  • Support Product Marketing with campaign creation and evangelism activities, including writing customer case studies, participating in trade organizations and participating in industry events.

  • Communicate customer feedback and new feature requests to Product Management identifying opportunities for product enhancements while providing information and competitive intelligence.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies such as CSCMP, APICS, CSM, and PCC for personal development and lead generation.

You Have

  • A minimum 5 years of experience supporting large ticket software sales

  • Familiarity with supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures. (Transportation Management Systems, e-commerce, freight,)

  • Familiarity with a variety of technical concepts (.Net, SOA, XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, ODBC, web services)

  • Highly proficient skills with software tools including (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SalesForce.com and web-based presentation tools such as GoToMeeting or LiveMeeting)

  • The ability to travel within assigned territory (50%)
