Job Description:

This is a remote position. Preference will be given to candidates located in Texas or Wisconsin.

  • It is an hourly, non-exempt level role that will be on a buffer contract for up to 24 months, with the potential to become long-term part time, full time, and even propel your career into advanced sales roles.

  • Pay is an hourly base plus performance-based SPIFFs (sales incentives).

  • Schedule is 20 hours/week with hours available between 8:00am-2:00pm CT.

You are:

A self-motivated contributor who will utilize an outbound call dialer to call key decision makers at current Pitney Bowes clients and apply inside sales techniques to recommend products and close sales. Telesales Representatives must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly build report with current Pitney Bowes customers over the phone, ask qualifying questions to assess needs, and recommend appropriate mail, shipping, and postage meter supplies to clients. As a performance-drivin individual, you will effectively overcome objections to close sales to ensure that business is retained, and clients are satisfied.

You will:

  • Learn product line quickly: Complete the one-week training and be knowledgeable in the most common Pitney Bowes Postage Meters and supplies, and confidently navigate through the region’s internal website to provide customers with current pricing, promotions, and delivery information.

  • Achieve productivity goals: Within 3 months, consistently hit or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly goals, such as: revenu generated, number of calls per day, average talk time, error rate, etc.

  • Create accurate invoices: Accurately record customer transactions and create invoices with an error rate of less than 6% each month. Partner with manager and Sales Support to resolve all errors to the clients’ satisfaction, where possible.

  • Adapt as needed: quickly adapt to selling what is needed as business and client demands change, including but not limited to: the benefits of mailing and shipping supplies; educating clients on our financial solutions, leasing options, software, and services; educating clients on USPS compliance and migrating to IMI compliant technology.

  • Professional Development: Participate in at least 1 team activity, team committee, training or volunteer activity each year and present what you learned at a weekly team huddle to help cultivate your work environment and strengthen the knowledge of your whole team.

Your background:

As a Part-Time Telesales Rep, you have:

  • Proven core customer service skills and entry-level sales skills, including but not limited: strong interpersonal and listening skills, ability to ask qualifying questions and determine appropriate responses, ability to present an engaging and confident telephone persona.

  • History of exceeding expectations, dependability, and reliability, as demonstrated through a combination of annual reviews, awards and recognition, exceeding goals, etc.

  • Demonstrated resiliency and ability to overcome objections when challenged; both recognizing and identifying the opportunity in difficult situations.

  • Basic PC skills, with a strong ability to work in multiple screens simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel and Word.

  • Available to work 20 hours per week withing the following timeframe: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-2:00pm CT.

  • Home office/desk with reliable internet service sufficient to meet the needs of the position. Proven success working from home is preferred, but not required. All computer equipment and peripherals will be provided. Ability to hardwire computer is preferred.
