You are:

You will:

  • Work with a team who uses data, analytics, engineering/lean methodology, and project management toolsets to identify opportunities for improve labor utilization across a complex and diverse global business.

  • Identify opportunities through data analytics to drive final mile cost and cycle time improvement; create mathematical models (e.g., optimization, simulation, forecasting) to cycle time and cost metrics

  • Understand the broader Pitney Bowes company strategy, translate it into requirements for the Final Mile network, and develop roadmaps to align with company objectives

  • Assist in the development of tools, templates, and processes that allow for standardized, efficient, and accurate data analysis and outputs.

Your background:

Our selection process is therefore focused on the highest quality candidates that demonstrate a rigorous academic curriculum as well as having established themselves with authentic projects pursued in and outside the classroom. As a Data/Business Analysis, Final Mile Intern (Remote anywhere in US) , you have the following background and skills:

  • An undergraduate senior in college pursuing a B.S./B.A. or pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research or other related quantitative discipline

  • Technical expertise on practical applications of data modeling, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques and programming (T-SQL)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with internal and externals database and business analytics tools (such as Tableau or PowerBI)

  • Results-driven, perform well under pressure and can successfully prioritize and work against deadlines

  • Team player mindset and willing to work collaboratively alongside peers

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly express yourself in team meetings and comfortable presenting in front of a group

  • Excellent active listening skills and open to various points of view

  • Effective written and verbal communication

  • You are committed to excellence in your work and maintain high professional and ethical standards to: “Do the Right Thing, The Right Way.”

Preferred

  • Exposure or understanding of: Workforce Planning and Workforce Management principles, process and continuous improvement methodologies, advanced data analytics

The wage range for this position is Bachelor’s degree candidates $18 - $20 per hour and Master’s degree candidates $20 - $25 per hour, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.
